If her smile doesn’t brighten your day, her bubbly personality will. Elite Personal Trainer Alisa Rogers has a typical Monday – Thursday schedule she follows to keep the flow for her work and personal life. See below for a look into a typical day as Alisa Rogers.
6:00 a.m.: Wake up and start my day by drinking 40 – 50 oz of water throughout my morning. I typically don’t eat breakfast unless I don’t have to be into work until later in the day. Sometimes I will have coffee or tea to accompany my water in the morning.
8:30 a.m.: Head into Hockessin Athletic Club to work with clients until noon.
12:00 p.m.: Snack time! I have been eating a banana or other type of fruit before I do my personal workout in the afternoon.
12:15 p.m.: Time for a workout. I work specific muscle groups each day, so I rotate legs, arms, and chest. This is my favorite time of the day because I get to have “me time” and take care of myself.
1:00 p.m.: After my workout, I eat lunch, which is typically a large salad. I have been following an intermittent fasting diet, so this is usually my first meal of the day.
1:30 p.m.: Having eaten lunch, I continue my work of training through my personal business for the afternoon.
4:00 p.m.: Back at Hockessin Athletic Club working with clients for another 3 -4 hours. A day can have anywhere from 5 clients to 15 clients.
7:00 p.m.: Head home from work and eat fruit as a snack on the way.
8:00 p.m.: Try to have dinner before it gets too late. End up eating something light, sometimes it is the rest of my salad from lunch!
10:00 p.m.: Before bed, I do yoga or use a foam roller to stretch out my muscles. Sometimes while I do my stretching my dog, a Cane Corso, tries to get close and sit with me. This month I have been doing 100 push-ups every day and plan to stick with it for the remainder of the month and in August.
11:00 p.m.: Get ready for bed. I try to be in bed by 11:00 even if I don’t fall asleep until later.
Fridays are a bit different than the rest of the week because I just started working at Hockessin Athletic Club on Friday mornings. As for my Friday afternoons, I use that time to run errands and grocery shop. I have found the grocery store is scarcely populated on Friday afternoons, so it makes the shopping trip easier. My Friday nights are typically at home with my boyfriend and dogs but sometimes we do go bowling, skating, or to the movies.
